Slindon House - introduction

Set in 18 acres within the South Downs National Park and enjoying breath-taking and uninterrupted views to the sea and Downland countryside, Slindon House offers a unique wedding venue location for your exclusive use. The historic Manor House, belonging to the National Trust, is perfect for fully licensed marriage ceremonies and wedding receptions. Wedding ceremonies can be held in the beautiful Grand Hall, The Blue Room or outside within the grounds.

The Grand Hall can accommodate up to 130 people and the beautiful orangery acts as a focal point for canape receptions. There are also two beautiful churches in the village, St. Mary’s (COE) and St. Richard’s (RC), for those who wish to have a blessing or a church wedding.

For larger parties, a marquee can be accommodated within the grounds.

A unique addition to the venue is the onsite couple - Norman and Lucy. Norman and Lucy would love to be involved in your photos and also love sharing some of your food. The food must be carrots though, as they are donkeys! There also some alpacas, chickens, ducks and geese.

The venue allows well behaved dogs on leads.

Slindon House offers catering services via the venue’s sole caterer – Quinn’s Catering. Quinn’s Catering has been successfully catering for numerous happy couples for well over 20 years. Quinn’s Catering offers sample menus to assist in your wedding planning, but can also cater for specific needs. Where possible ingredients are organic and locally sourced. Special dietary needs can be accommodated.

Clients are free to provide their own alcohol for the wedding breakfast and evening reception, or can choose to use our hire bar for the evening.

There is ample parking on site, with overspill in the local village if required.   

There is wifi availability at the venue.

You are fee to use your own photographer, videographer, DJ, Band, venue décor, lighting etc. suppliers, or we can direct you to people who we have worked with before and know our venue.

The price to hire Slindon House is - £3,000, reduced to £2,500 for midweek hire (Monday (excl. BH) through Thursday) for 2024 and £3,500, reduced to £3,000 for midweek hire in 2025
